I know a lot of folks still love physical media. I know I do. So if you still love that personal touch I'll send you a CD-R copy of this mini-EP. I made them. I burnt them. I decorated the CD-R like an 8-year old in art class. I had some online copy place make my covers. It's as if I made these things in my basement and handed one to you in the cafeteria at school.

about

Noir films, 70s theme songs, drunk private eyes, and a palpable darkness in the Midwest, these are the things that influenced and inspired the making of these songs.

I grew up on cop shows like Rockford Files, Barney Miller, Hill Street Blues, which in turn got me into film noir like The Maltese Falcon, The Long Goodbye, The Zero Effect, Brick, and David Lynch films. Along the way I found myself going down heavy synth rabbit holes and 70s fusion/funk like Hancock's Headhunters, Marc Moulin's Placebo, and the Budos Band. All of those elements influenced the writing of these songs. I imagine there's a full-length concept record that will be coming soon enough about murder in some remote cornfield, or in the back of some shady dive bar off of State Road 30 East. Until then, I hope you dig these tracks. More to come.
